Rainbow Baby’s

This year I will giving away one session each month to a special family, these sessions will be Rainbow Baby Sessions, they will only be given to a family who has had a previous loss, which can mean a lot of different things to different people, so I ask for people to nominate the deserving family, please e-mail me at: info@debmuirphotography.com and tell me their story. I will choose one family each month to a have a newborn session with a special part of the session dedicated to remembering and honoring that family’s loss, this can be an early pregnancy loss, a later pregnancy loss, of a loss after birth, or even the loss of another family member like a grandmother or grandfather, these are times for family’s to remember their loved ones. Please remember when nominating your family member or your friend that this is for a Newborn session with the theme of being a Rainbow baby, so must have a story, there will be terms and conditions to meet, please e-mail for more information.

This little one lost her great grandmother before she was born and Mum had a miscarriage before her, her Great grandmothers favorite flower was a red rose. This Image also got a Silver award at the NSW AIPP awards in 2016.

 

 

Rainbow baby’s are truely special baby’s for family’s, these are baby’s born after a loss of another baby. There is a storm of loss and emotion when a baby is born sleeping or is lost in early pregnancy, and being a Midwife I see this all the time, family’s lost in waves of emotion and grief. These baby’s are remembered and never forgotten. I feel for each and every one of them and their families.

After these losses most of these baby’s family’s fall pregnant with another baby, these baby’s are known as Rainbow baby’s, as with every storm there is a rainbow at the end. These babies can be born from a twin pregnancy, where one twin has been lost but another goes on to be born. The little one below started out as a twin pregnancy, but sadly his twin was lost early but that twin has never been forgotten, and will always be remembered.

 

Baby’s are born every day, and sadly pregnancy losses also occur everyday, theses sessions are a wonderful way to remember those that are lost and to have beautiful images of your Rainbow baby so their memory will last forever. The little one below is a Rainbow baby after Mum and Dad lost their first baby in the previous pregnancy, this little one brings them joy and Love. She is a little ray of sunshine.
